PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Duane is responsible for the day-to-day management of medical office and facility accounts for high profile clients. His duties include planning and implementing overall operational and financial strategies for the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network.  With a portfolio encompassing more than 40 locations, he is responsible for the hands-on management of all third-party contracts including life safety, HVAC, custodial, security, R&M, engineering and construction.  Working in conjunction with the client, he also has shared responsibility for locations which fall under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Department of Health and The Joint Commission, formerly the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).  Duane provides critical management reporting and financial accountability including budgets, financial reporting and cash flow analysis.

Duane has over 25 years of property management experience. Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank Smith Mack, he shared the responsibility for an 11 million square foot portfolio for Fameco Management Services, which included direct responsibility for 1.6 million square feet.

While at Alliance Realty Services and CB Richard Ellis, his duties included managing a mixed use portfolio, including Class-A office buildings throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. He served as the facility manager for Mack Trucks in Allentown, PA., where he was responsible the facility operations, engineering, relocations and construction.  While at U.S. Equities Realty, Inc., Duane served as the operations manager for  AMTRAK’s 30th Street Station where he led a workforce of 50 trades-people  including carpenters, electricians, machinists, mechanics, plumbers and janitorial staff in a very strong union environment.

Duane is a graduate of Geneva College where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management. He received his Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute International.  He has received E.P.A. Section 608 Universal Technician Certification and holds a current Pennsylvania Real Estate Sales License.
